The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned Honduras transferring its embassy to the occupied city of al-Quds, calling the move an illegitimate action and a violation of international law and relevant Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ resolutions, particularly Security Council resolution 478<\/a> (1980), which calls on the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ member states to withdraw their diplomatic missions from the sacred city.<\/p>\n

Further, the OIC General Secretariat called on the Republic of Honduras to reverse its illegal decision, stressing the need for the international community to engage in the effort to achieve a just and comprehensive peace settlement, based on the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative, providing for the two-state solution and the establishment of the State of Palestine with eastern al-Quds as capital.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
