From Philippe Lazzarini, the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA Commissioner-General as posted on his official X account (previously known as Twitter)<\/em><\/p>\n

After 470 + days, the people of Gaza hear the sound of playing children instead of bombardments and airstrikes.<\/p>\n

Our Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA teams reported a first good day of the ceasefire; aid and some commercial supplies started flowing in smoothly.<\/p>\n

Three hostages were at long last safely released, while Palestinian prisoners have now reunited with their families. Thank you, ICRC.<\/p>\n

The ceasefire must continue to hold and all elements of the agreement must be implemented.<\/p>\n

It is a step in the right direction towards long-lasting peace and stability for all.<\/p>\n

We will spare no effort to alleviate the immense suffering and scale up the humanitarian delivery.<\/p>\n
