From Philippe Lazzarini, the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA Commissioner-General as posted on his official X account (previously known as Twitter)\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n Gaza: the new aid distribution system has become a killing field.<\/p>\n Over 400 starving people reported killed since it started operating just a month ago.<\/p>\n They were shot at while trying to access food for themselves and\u00a0their families.<\/p>\n Testimonies are coming out that soldiers opened fire indiscriminately.<\/p>\n In the chaos, children were separated from their families: disoriented and traumatized.<\/p>\n The system falls far from abiding to the principle of humanity.<\/p>\n It is not designed to address hunger and is often justified using the pretext of aid diversion that is yet to be substantiated let alone proven.<\/p>\n Instead of “orderly food distribution\u201d, this system brings dehumanization, chaos and death.<\/p>\n This cannot become the new norm.<\/p>\n This abomination must end through a return to humanitarian deliveries from the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ including Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA.<\/p>\n A ceasefire is needed and the siege must be lifted to bring back a standard flow of basics including food, medicine, soap and fuel.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" 27 June 2025 From Philippe Lazzarini, the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA Commissioner-General as posted on his official X account (previously known as Twitter)\u00a0 Gaza: the new aid distribution system has become a killing field.
