From Philippe Lazzarini, the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA Commissioner-General as posted on his official X account.<\/em><\/p>\n On International Women’s Day, my thoughts are with the many Palestine Refugee women and girls I have met across Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA\u2019s operations.<\/p>\n Science students in Lebanon on their way to becoming biomedical engineers. Refugee camp leaders in Jordan serving on community committees alongside their male counterparts. Artisans and entrepreneurs in Syria building businesses that sustain families and keep communities going.<\/p>\n Many are also part of Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA\u2019s workforce. Doctors, nurses and pharmacists caring for patients under immense pressure. Teachers opening classrooms so children can keep learning when life around them feels uncertain. Social workers in the West Bank reaching families displaced multiple times.
