<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">l<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ed by the Chair (<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">PR of Senegal), <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">and including <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">PR of Malaysia, <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">DPR of Indonesia and the Political Coordinator of the Mission of Palestine<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> in New York<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, Mr. Majed Bamya, <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">who was <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">recently designated as Ambassador to the EU.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\" data-wac-het=\"1\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The objective<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> of the visit<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> was <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">to <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">engage India, a <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">member of the Committee and a <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">good friend of Palestine and Israel, to promot<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">e<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> a <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">peaceful <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">settlement of the question of Palestine.\u00a0 <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">delegation met <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">with <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">H.E. <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Dr. S<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> Jaishankar, <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the Minister of External Affairs<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">and was hosted to lunch by the Secretary of the Ministry and other officials<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.\u00a0 The delegation also met <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">with a representative <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">responsible for external affairs<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> of the ruling BJP party<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\" data-wac-het=\"1\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The delegation held two seminars &#8211; at the Vivekananda International Foundation and the Indian Council of World Affairs &#8211; with former diplomats and military officers, concluding the visit with a press conference <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">and a reception for diplomatic community based in Delhi. \u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\" data-wac-het=\"1\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">India<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> remains <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">commitment to <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">resolving <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the question of Palestine <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">through negotiations, in accordance with international <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">law and Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ resolutions. \u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The Committee delegation<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> emphasized its <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">reservations about <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the US<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> peace<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> plan <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">and expressed the fear that <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">plan <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">would <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">destin<\/span><span
