The 6-week annual capacity-building programme for civil servants of the State of Palestine ran from 24 October to 2 December 2022. It was organized by the Division for Palestinian Rights, Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs (DPPA). During the training at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵHQ, the trainees enhanced their understanding of multilateral diplomacy, peace, security, and development issues, as well as recent regional and global developments at the center of discussion at the General Assembly. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The trainees also participated in 8 courses organized by Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Women, The One Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Climate Change Learning Partnership, Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵITAR, and the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Library. They had an opportunity to interact directly and be briefed by a wide array of DPPA Divisions, other Offices, and Departments of the Secretariat, as well as Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ agencies and regional organizations.\u202f\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The training programme coincided with the 77<\/span>th<\/span> GA session, and under the guidance of the DPR staff, the trainees were given an opportunity for a first-hand experience of formal and informal meetings and events during the 77<\/span>th<\/span> session of the General Assembly.\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The 2022 programme participants were officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Ramallah \u2013 Ms. Abeer Abed Alhaq and Ms. Rana Hammoudeh of the Multilateral Affairs Department.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
