\u00a0<\/span>Three prominent speakers\u00a0<\/span>\u2013 Ms.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Hanan\u00a0Ashrawi, Member of the PLO Executive Committee<\/span>\u00a0and former member of the Palestinian\u00a0<\/span>team<\/span>\u00a0in the Middle East Peace Process<\/span>; Mr.\u00a0<\/span>Yossi\u00a0Beilin<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>Former Israeli Cabinet Minister<\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>participant in the 1993 Oslo Accord negotiations<\/span>; Mr.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>James Zogby<\/span>, Founder and President of the Arab American Institute \u2013 <\/span>outlined prevailing challenges and formulated recommendations to overcome the current political impasse for salvaging peace prospects.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Through raising awareness with international audiences \u2013 Member States, civil society and media \u2013 about the imminent threat posed by Israel\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>annexation\u00a0<\/span>plans<\/span>,<\/span> the Forum <\/span>helped<\/span>\u00a0raise awareness of these illegal plans and their dangerous repercussions if implemented, to mobilize\u00a0<\/span>these audiences<\/span>\u00a0to prevent Israeli annexation of areas in the occupied West Bank, and to\u00a0\u00a0 identify possible\u00a0<\/span>options<\/span>\u00a0for a way forward.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
