Rehman Hassan is a strategic and effective sustainable development and human rights advocate with ten years of experience authoring influential publications and advising organizations including the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ, World Health Organization, Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Human Rights, Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Climate Change, Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵICEF, Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ-Habitat, Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Population Fund, Pan American Health Organization, White House, U.S. Agency for International Development, U.S. Department of Justice, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (U.S. Department of Commerce), OECD, G7 and G20. So far, Rehman has authored 20+ publications that have shaped high-profile policies and programs, with their work cited nearly a dozen times at the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ General Assembly and Human Rights Council.

Key contributions include co-authoring President Biden¡¯s AI in Global Development Playbook and the Global AI Research Agenda, setting the United States¡¯ policy on artificial intelligence in international contexts, focused on sustainability, democratizing emerging technologies to meaningfully engage local communities and promoting human rights. Additionally, Rehman served as a co-leader of the World Health Organization's "What Young People Want" campaign, co-leading efforts to directly consult with 1.5+ million young people. Rehman has also worked locally on climate advocacy and sustainable urban development with cities across the United States and the world. Balanced with their academic commitments as a student at Stanford University, Rehman co-chairs multiple committees of Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Habitat's Youth Advisory Board and serves on the steering committee of the WHO Youth Council.
