Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµDEF Governance and Partners

The Secretary-General¡¯s Advisory Board, Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµDEF's main governing mechanism, is composed of those members who have made the largest seven cumulative financial contributions to the Fund over the previous three years; six Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Member States reflecting geographical diversity; two international civil society organizations; and three individuals serving in a personal capacity. The Advisory Board provides policy guidance to the Secretary-General on the development of programme frameworks and funding guidelines, and recommends funding proposals for his approval. The Programme Consultative Group serves as Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ inter-agency mechanism that provides expert advice. It comprises the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Department of Political Affairs, the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Department of Peacekeeping Operations, the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Peacebuilding Support Office, the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Development Program, the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Office on Drugs and Crime and Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Women.
