Archana Soreng, climate activist and member of the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Secretary-General¡¯s Youth Advisory Group on Climate Change, belongs to the Kharia tribe in Odisha, India. Indigenous communities like hers protect more than 20 percent of our planet's land and 80 percent of its biodiversity. This Earth Day, we celebrate the invaluable contributions of indigenous and local communities who relentlessly protect our planet. ¡°We all can contribute towards climate action; our voice matters,¡± Archana says in this interview for our Voices of Change series.
