The President of the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ General Assembly, H.E. Mogens Lykketoft, has been informed by the Secretary-General of his intention to appoint Filippo Grandi of Italy as the new United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵHCR).
The President will table the selection on the agenda of the General Assembly next week.
