The President of the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ General Assembly, Mr. Mogens Lykketoft held a fruitful meeting with the Special Adviser of the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Secretary-General on the Prevention of Genocide, Mr. Adama Dieng. They discussed the importance of Genocide Prevention and the Responsibility to Protect for the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ’s human rights and conflict prevention mandate. The President stressed human rights as one of the core themes of his tenure.
Mr. Dieng and the President agreed on close cooperation regarding upcoming events and international days.
