The President of the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ General Assembly Mogens Lykketoft met with German Environment Minister Barbara Hendricks on Sunday ahead of the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Climate Change Conference.
They discussed the importance of financing to help developing countries adapt to climate change and invest in renewable energy. They noted the French Government”s strong leadership of the COP process.
Mr Lykketoft informed the German delegation about the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ General Assembly”s High Level Thematic Debate on implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals and Climate Action 11-12 April 2016 at which he hopes member states will take the outcomes of COP21 forwards.
