On Friday, the President of the General Assembly welcomed the new Permanent Representative of Mexico, Ambassador Juan José Gómez Camacho, to New York. The two discussed Mexico as a responsible global actor and its support in processes of the General Assembly such as migration, refugees, SDGs and the forthcoming Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵGASS in April 2016. The Ambassador reaffirmed the commitment of Mexico to the United Nations and its active role in the General Assembly.
