Today the Permanent Representatives of Mexico, Juan José Gómez Camacho to the United Nations and Colombia, MarÃa Emma MejÃa Vélez discussed with the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ GA President Mogens Lykketoft the upcoming special session of the GA on the world drug problem (Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵGASS 2016).
Both Permanent Representatives stressed the importance of having an open, inclusive and ambitious debate during Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵGASS. Mr. Lykketoft expressed his commitment to include all voices and stakeholders in this debate.
The two Permanent Representatives commended the recently organized events with civil society and the Inter Parliamentary Union and reiterated their support to the office of the President of the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ General Assembly.
