Meeting discussing preparations for Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Conference to support the implementation of SDG14

The President of the General Assembly met today with the delegations from Sweden led by HE Ulrika Modéer, State Secretary to Minister for International Development Cooperation, and Fiji led by Ambassador Luke Dauniuvalu, Charge d’Affaires ad interim of the Fiji Mission to the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ.  The meeting discussed the on-going preparations for the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Conference to support the implementation of SDG14  to be held from 5 – 9 June 2017 in New York.  The PGA reiterated his commitment to ensuring the success of the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Oceans Conference next year, as a fundamental step that will reverse the decline of the health of our ocean.
