The high-level flagship event “One Year of the Sustainable Development Goals” brings together global leaders to highlight country actions on the Sustainable Development Goals. This is a key moment to build on this momentum and share country experiences in this ambitious and critical endeavor. This effectively address national development challenges, as well as establishes global public goods to address threats like climate change, pandemics, or pollution.

Plenary Session of 2016 Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund
The Annual Meetings of the Boards of Governors of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group (WBG) bring together central bankers, ministers of finance and development, private sector executives, representatives from civil society organizations and academics to discuss issues of global concern, including the world economic outlook, poverty eradication, economic development, and aid effectiveness. Also featured are seminars, regional briefings, press conferences, and many other events focused on the global economy, international development, and the world’s financial system. This year’s events will take place in Washington, DC, October 7-9, 2016.
