The President of the 72nd session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Miroslav Laj?ák, met today with H.E. Mr. Angelino Alfano, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy. They discussed issues of common interest on the agenda of the Assembly, including sustaining peace, migration and reform of the United Nations. The President of the General Assembly thanked Italy for its strong commitment to multilateralism and encouraged Italy’s continued leadership in addressing the challenges related to migration and refugees.
