The President of the 72nd session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Miroslav Laj?ák, met today with the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, H.E. Mr. Dragan ?ovi?. They discussed the process of intergovernmental negotiations on a global compact on safe, orderly and regular migration; implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); the Paris Agreement on climate change; and the situation in the Western Balkans, with the focus on political developments in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The President of the General Assembly stressed the need for inclusive engagement in negotiating the global compact, and emphasized the importance of implementing the Paris Agreement. He also called for internal consensus in Bosnia and Herzegovina on issues of importance for the country.
