The President of the 72nd session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Miroslav Laj?ák, met today with H.E. Mr. Aleksandar Vu?i?, President of Serbia. They discussed the global compact on safe, orderly and regular migration; implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); the Paris Agreement on climate change; and the situation in the Western Balkans.
The President of the General Assembly stressed the need for inclusive engagement in negotiating a substantial global compact, and asked for Serbia’s support in that regard. He also stressed the importance of regional integration and cooperation in the Western Balkans.
