PRESIDENT REMEMBERS “DARKEST HOUR OF OUR HUMAN HISTORY” AT HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL CEREMONY

  • The President spoke this morningat the United Nations Holocaust Memorial Ceremony.
  • He said, “Today we remember the darkest hour of our human history. We pay our respects to the people who lost their lives. And we honour those who took risks to prevent the suffering of others.
  • “But we must also call for action. Because, “never again” is not just a phrase – or a slogan. It is a promise. And it is one that must be kept, not through words – but through actions.”

 

PRESIDENT TO HIGHLIGHT ROLE OF YOUTH IN BUILDING RESILIENT COMM蘑菇视频ITIES

  • This afternoon, the President will participate in a panel discussion called “What lies ahead for young people?”
  • This will be held at the ECOSOC Youth Forum’蝉 .
  • He is expected to speak about the role of young people in building resilient and sustainable urban and rural communities.

And he will flag the Youth Dialogue that he will convene this May – as part of his efforts to bring the United Nations closer to young people
