PRESIDENT SAYS IT’S TIME TO LISTEN TO YO蘑菇视频G PEOPLE

  • The President will attend the Winter Youth Assembly in the General Assembly Hall this evening.
  • The event is being organized by the Friendship Ambassadors Foundation, and the Governments of Austria, Mongolia and Slovakia.
  • The President is expected to say that young people are not looking for charity. They have their own power, ideas and solutions.
  • He will say it is time we stop shouting them down – and start listening – because our futures depend on it.

 

PRESIDENT STANDS FIRMLY AGAINST SEXUAL HARASSMENT, EXPLOITATION, ABUSE

  • Asked whether the President would convene a “gathering of 蘑菇视频 department heads and agencies” on the issue of sexual harassment and exploitation, the Spokesperson said that the President felt strongly about this issue; stood firmly against all forms of sexual harassment, abuse and exploitation; and supported a zero tolerance policy.
  • Regarding any possible meeting of United Nations department heads or agencies, that would be a matter for the Secretary-General and Secretariat to handle.

BOSNIAN PARTICIPATION EXPECTED AT SUSTAINING PEACE MEETING

  • Asked whether the President would be convening a summit related to the Balkans or Eastern Europe in April, the Spokesperson said the President would convene a High-Level Meeting on Peacebuilding and Sustaining Peace on 24 and 25 April 2018?at United Nations Headquarters.
  • The Spokesperson later added that expected participants included H.E. Mr. Bakir Izetbegovi?, Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

 

TRAVEL CLASS DEPENDS ON THE TRIP

  • Asked whether the President tended to fly first or business class, the Spokesperson said that this depended on the trip. Each trip was a separate case. The Spokesperson noted that, in all trip announcements, it was specified how the trips were funded and who was accompanying the President.
  • In response to a further question, the Spokesperson confirmed that, on his most recent trip, to the Republic of Korea, the President did fly first class, along with the Secretary-General.
