Thiago?Alves Ferreira is a consultant in the Unit for Peace and Security, Humanitarian and Legal Issues in the Office of the President of the 72nd Session of the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ General Assembly.

Before joining the Office of the President,?Thiago?spent 8 months at the Permanent Mission of Brazil to the United Nations in New York as an Adviser to the Peace and Security Team, where he dealt with disarmament, peacebuilding and Security Council agendas.

In the Office of the President, he is assisting in the organization of the High-Level Event on Peacebuilding and Sustaining Peace, as well as with other matters related to peace and security.

Thiago?holds a Master¡¯s degree in Political Science and International Relations from Sciences Po Toulouse in France, and a Bachelor¡¯s in International Relations from the University of S?o Paulo in Brazil. He is fluent in Portuguese, English and French, and has a special interest in human rights, conflict prevention and resolution, and peacebuilding.
