The President of the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly, H.E. Ms. María Fernanda Espinosa Garcés, met with H.E. Sheikh Hassina, Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. The President of the General Assembly briefed on her priorities for the 73rd session of the General Assembly. Both, the Assembly President and the Prime Minister agreed to work together to empower women and girls in all layers of society.
