The President of the 76th session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with H.E. Mr. Ramtane Lamamra, Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria.?
Minister Lamamra congratulated the President on his successful election and expressed his country’s support for the presidency. President Shahid presented his priorities for the 76th session and briefed the Foreign Minister on his forthcoming high-level events on climate change and vaccination.?
Both sides?also discussed issues related to multilateralism, gender and youth.
The meeting took place in the President’s office at United Nations Headquarters in New York.?
