The President of the 76th session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with H.E. Sameh Shoukry, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
Minister Shoukry congratulated the President on his successful election and expressed his country’s support for the presidency. He highlighted the important role of PGA in promoting sense of unity among Member States. President Shahid presented his priorities for the session, in particular in relation with climate change and vaccination.?
Both sides? also discussed issues related to multilateralism, COVID-19, Climate Change, IGN and security council reform, and the President’s Youth Fellowship Program.
The meeting took place in the President’s office at United Nations Headquarters in New York.?
