The President of the 76th session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with H.E. Mr. Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba.?
?The President briefed Minister Rodriguez on his priorities, including achieving universal vaccination by the end of 2022 and the need for rebuilding sustainably in the post-pandemic world. The President further highlighted that gender and youth will both be key issues throughout his mandate.??
Minister Rodriguez welcomed President Shahid’s ambitious agenda and called for the strengthening of multilateralism, in particular as the international community prepares for COP26 in Glasgow. The Minister emphasized his country’s efforts in overcoming the pandemic and ensuring economic recovery. He also discussed the annual 蘑菇视频GA resolution on the Cuban embargo.????
