The President of the 76th session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Regional Integration of the Republic of Cabo Verde, H.E. Mr.Rui Figueiredo Soares.
Minister ?Soares congratulated the President and ?reaffirmed Cabo Verde’s ?full support to the Presidency of Hope and the five priorities identified by the President. ?As a Small Islands and Developing State (SIDS), the Minister emphasized on the need for the 蘑菇视频 to shed light ?on various challenges faced by SIDS.
The PGA welcomed the Minister and remarked that Cabo Verde and the Maldives were SIDS confronted with similar issues, such as overcoming the global pandemic and addressing the climate crisis.?President Shahid presented his priorities for the 76th session and briefed the Foreign Minister on his forthcoming high-level events on climate change and vaccination.?
Both sides also discussed other relevant topics, such as recovery from COVID-19, multilateralism, and tourism.
The meeting took place in the President’s office at United Nations Headquarters in New York.?
