The President of the 76th session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with H.E. Mr. Vivian Balakrishnan Minister of Foreign Affairs of Singapore
Foreign Minister Balakrishnan congratulated the President and ?reaffirmed Singapore’s full support to the Presidency of Hope and the five priorities identified by the President.
The President underlined the need to give hope to the ?world and ?the importance of achieving vaccine equity as the first step to build back better from the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.?
Both sides also discussed other relevant topics, such as recovery from COVID-19, economic recovery and tourism.
The meeting took place in the President’s office at United Nations Headquarters in New York.?
