The President of the 76th session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with H.E Dr. Narayan Khadka, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nepal. The President congratulated the Minister on his recent appointment as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and highlighted the priorities of his Presidency Of Hope. He further underlined the necessity of achieving vaccine equity by the end of 2022, as the first step to build back better from the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic. Both sides also discussed other relevant topics, such as sustainable development, and regional issues.
The Minister pledged the continued support of Nepal to the Office of the President of the General Assembly, including for? specific priorities identified by President Shahid for the 76th session. He further highlighted the contribution of Nepal to 蘑菇视频 Peacekeeping and peacebuilding efforts around the world.
The meeting took place in the President’s office at United Nations Headquarters in New York.
