The President of the 76th session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with H.E. Linda Thomas-Greenfield, Permanent Representative of the United States.
They discussed the General Assembly Emergency Special Session on Ukraine, and the strong support demonstrated for the Charter by member states through the adoption of the resolution.
They also discussed the ongoing consultations on the Secretary-General’s report ‘Our Common Agenda’, the Fellowship of Hope, and the President’s priorities for the remainder of the session including the high-level events on Commodities, Sustainable Tourism, and “Moment for Nature’.
The meeting took place in the President’s office at United Nations Headquarters in New York.
