The President of the 76th session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with Mr. Guy Ryder, Director-General of the International Labour Organization (ILO).
Director-General Ryder commended the President¡¯s leadership during this exceptional session and reiterated ILO¡¯s support for Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ initiatives, including Our Common Agenda, through the promotion of the Global Accelerator on Jobs and Social Protection and transition to climate neutrality.
The President appreciated ILO¡¯s support and reaffirmed his confidence in multilateralism and support of Our Common Agenda. He welcomed strengthened cooperation between the General Assembly and ILO.
The meeting took place in the President¡¯s office at United Nations Headquarters in New York.
