The President of the 76th?session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, today met with H.E.?Muhadjir?Effendy, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs.
The Minister?formally welcomed President Shahid and his delegation to?Bali.?He?highlighted?Indonesia¡¯s strong commitment to disaster risk reduction and its focus on rebuilding socioeconomic recovery from COVID.
President Shahid congratulated the Minister, as the Chair of National Organizing Committee of the?Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction (GPDRR), for the excellent preparations and arrangements of the conference.
President Shahid and Minister Effendy also discussed COVID vaccination?and pandemic recovery. Minister Effendy reiterated Indonesia¡¯s?strong commitment to universal vaccination, including as?a contributor?to halal vaccine production.
The two leaders also discussed South-South cooperation, gender equality.
The meeting took place in the?Bali?Nusa Dua?Convention Center.
