The President of the 76th?session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with?H.E. Mr. Alberto Pimentel Mata, Minister of Energy and Mines of Guatemala.
The President congratulated the Minister on the work done by Guatemala in the area of clean?energy and investment in critical infrastructure. He also commended Guatemala for engaging with indigenous communities on projects related to use of natural resources.
Both sides also discussed other relevant topics such as transition to clean energy, deforestation and ecosystem degradation, protection of biodiversity, south-south cooperation and the situation in rural and urban areas in Guatemala.
The Vice-Minister of Sustainable Development of Guatemala, Mr. Oscar Perez Ramirez, the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Guatemala, Amb. Shirley Aguilar and the Resident Coordinator of the 蘑菇视频 in Guatemala, Mr. Jose Miguel Barreto also attended the meeting.
The meeting took place at the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Guatemala City.
