Next week, I’ve mentioned that on Monday and Tuesday, President K?r?si will hold multistakeholder hearings related to health.

You will have a media advisory detailing what you can expect over the course of those three half-day interactive hearings, as well as a detailed program – if not later today then tomorrow.

One of those hearings is on ending Tuberculosis.

KUWAIT

The President of the General Assembly, Csaba K?r?si is in Kuwait.

Earlier today, he met with Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

Following the meeting, the President said that in a world of interconnected and cascading crises, he relies on moderate, consistent and strategically-thinking countries like Kuwait as allies for peace, stability and transformation.

President K?r?si also met with Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Salem Al Sabah.

SECURITY CO蘑菇视频CIL REFORM

Back here in New York, underway today is the informal meeting of the intergovernmental negotiations on the question of equitable representation on and increase in the membership of the security Council and other matters related to the Council.

The IGN negotiations will continue after lunch break, starting at 3pm.

And then again tomorrow.

As you would have seen, 蘑菇视频 WebTV is webcasting live the portion where Member States are giving their official remarks. That webcast will end once closed-door negotiations begin.

The co-facilitators of this process are Ambassador Tareq Albanai, the Permanent Representative of Kuwait and Ambassador Alexander Marschik, the Permanent Representative of Austria.

 

GENDER CAMPAIGN

And we wanted to highlight additional Member States who have signed on to the President’s campaign to support gender equality.

They include Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Denmark, El Salvador, Estonia, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, the Maldives, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Togo.

Staff at these Permanent Missions have pledged to complete the 蘑菇视频 training on promoting gender equality and preventing sexual harassment.
