The President of the General Assembly H.E. Philemon Yang met H.E. ?Ramadan Mohamed Abdallah Goc, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of South Sudan?on 21 January 2025.
The President of the General Assembly and the Minister discussed building peace in South Sudan, the country’s potential and vast resources, the importance of decentralization of governance, and the need for free and fair elections.
They further discussed the importance of the United Nations, including its agencies in supporting a peaceful future for South Sudan, as well as election monitoring.
