The President of the General Assembly, H.E. Ms. Annalena Baerbock, met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, H.E. Dr. Fuad Hussein, on Sunday, 21 September 2025, on the margins of the High-Level Week of the United Nations General Assembly.?
During the meeting, both exchanged views on a number of issues of common concern including the situation in the Middle East and the need to reform and strengthen the United Nations. The President of the General Assembly commended Iraq¡¯s consistent support to the United Nations, and both sides reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing cooperation during the?80th?session.
