Suspension of Grounds Pass Issuance 

Please note that the Department of Global Communications (DGC) will suspend the processing and issuance of Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Grounds Passes for civil society organizations (CSOs) from 1 September through 5 October. Regular operations will resume on 6 October. 

Organizations requiring grounds passes are encouraged to complete any pending requests before the suspension period begins. 

Distribution of Secondary Tickets for the General Debate 

The General Debate of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly will take place from 22 September to 28 September. 

The Civil Society Unit of DGC will distribute secondary tickets for the General Debate ahead of High-Level Week according to the following schedule: 

  • Dates: 8 September to 17 September 
  • Tuesday: 13:00 to 16:00 
  • Wednesday: 13:00 to 16:00 
  • Thursday: 13:00 to 16:00 
  • Location: Civil Society Resource Centre, Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµITAR Building, Second Floor, 801 First Avenue, New York, NY 10017 

Important: Secondary tickets will only be issued to CSO representatives holding a valid Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµHQ New York Grounds Pass issued by DGC.

Representatives holding ECOSOC grounds passes should contact the ECOSOC and NGO Support Branch in DESA for information regarding ticket distribution. 

Resource Centre Closure 

Please be advised that the Civil Society Resource Centre will be closed from 18 September through 5 October and will reopen on 6 October.
