In the present report, the Special Rapporteur on the sale, sexual exploitation and sexual abuse of children, Mama Fatima Singhateh, provides an overview of the activities undertaken since her previous report and presents a thematic study on sexual abuse of children in peacekeeping and humanitarian contexts. The Special Rapporteur analyses the gaps in the current efforts to combat sexual abuse of children and makes recommendations to integrate a child-rights approach and to fight impunity for perpetrators.
