Basit Jamiu is a journalist from Nigeria working for Legit ng. He focuses on producing in-depth reporting on current affairs, humanitarian crises, politics, conflicts, and elections. Basit is passionate about highlighting the voices of vulnerable communities and amplifying urgent issues within both domestic and global contexts. He also reports on diverse topics such as climate change, AI, education, and science. He was a 2023 MTN-MIP Fellow and a recipient of HERA¡¯s international journalism grant in 2025. He has a postgraduate degree in Media and Communications and a BA in Mass Communication.
