How we get there
- Actions 1, 2, 3, 6, 7: Realign capacities currently split between DPPA and DPO to provide more coherent support to missions and country teams, by (i) establishing a unified Peacebuilding and Peace Support Office; (ii) creating a single unit on Women, Peace and Security; (iii) strengthening mechanisms to link cross-cutting functions such as data and digital innovation; (iv) consolidating two DPPA/DPO ASG posts into one; and (v) combining the West and North Africa divisions.
- Actions 8, 9, 10, 11: Optimize staffing resources and streamline support structures, by (i) integrating Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµMHA into the OSESGY; (ii) streamlining and aligning Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµOCA and the Office of the Special Envoy for the Great Lakes, and the Office of the Special Adviser on Cyprus with Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµFICYP; and (iii) rationalizing Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµRGID.
- Actions 49, 58: Strengthen conflict prevention capacities by hosting regional Peace and Development Advisors (PDAs) in Regional Commission offices, in line with Regional Reset (Work Package 6 Action 37), and by integrating PDA support across relevant Resident Coordinator Offices.
- Action 55: Align surge capacity for peace and security, rule of law, disarmament, demobilization and reintegration (DDR), security sector reform (SSR), small arms control, transitions and prevention of extremist violence, in line with Expertise-on-Demand Mechanism (Work Package 8 Action 54).
