Sixth Global Climate & Synergy Conference | September 2025
The Sixth Global Climate and SDG Synergy Conference was held on 27-28 May 2025 at the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ City in Copenhagen, hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark in collaboration with a number of partners. Centered on the theme ¡°Unleashing Synergies Towards an Equitable, Climate-Resilient, and Sustainable Future¡±, it provided a platform to advance integrated solutions for accelerating both the Paris Agreement and the 2030 Agenda. With 2025 presenting a critical window for course correction and seizing opportunities to maximize the potential of synergistic action, the Conference outcomes included concrete, action-oriented recommendations that could feed into upcoming milestones, including the next round of NDCs (NDC 3.0), the Financing for Development Conference 2025 (FfD4) and COP30.

Fifth Global Climate & Synergy Conference | September 2024
The , hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, was held on 5-6 September 2024 at the Museum of Tomorrow in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Under the theme ¡°Building a Just World and a Sustainable Planet¡±, the conference highlighted empirical evidence and case studies on climate action and SDG co-benefits, addressed climate finance, risk mitigation, and adaptation strategies, alongside creating synergies with ongoing multilateral processes including G20 and COP Presidencies Troika activities. The outcomes reinforced the role of synergies as a practical pathway to accelerate implementation of both the Paris Agreement and the 2030 Agenda./p>
Fourth Global Climate & Synergy Conference | July 2023
The Fourth Global Conference on Climate and SDG Synergy was convened on 16 July 2023 as a special event of the 2023 session of the and prior to the SDG Summit and the 28th session of the Conference of the Parties to the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Framework Convention on Climate Change (Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵFCCC COP 28), which will conduct a Global Stocktake of progress. The Fourth Global Conference sought to feed into these processes with an assessment of progress made against recommendations from the previous conferences, including the need for principles of just transition at the center of each integrated planning.

Third Global Climate & Synergy Conference | July 2022
Building on the outcomes of the first Climate and SDGs Synergy Conference in 2019 and the virtual consultations in 2020/2021, the Third Global Conference on Synergies, held in Tokyo, Japan, provided a unique opportunity to take stock of practical measures that are being implemented to advance climate and SDG synergies in regional, national and subnational efforts, including through COVID recovery plans and the NDCs.

Addressing the urgency for action to pursue synergistic approaches in order to recover better and faster from COVID-19, Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ DESA, Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵFCCC and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵITAR) co-convened a series of three webinars and launched an on the theme of ¡®¡¯.
