The President of the 72nd session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Miroslav Laj?ák, met today with H.E. Mr. Rumen Radev, President of Bulgaria.
They discussed the global compact on safe, orderly and regular migration; implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); the Paris Agreement on climate change; and the situation in the Western Balkans.
The President of the General Assembly stressed the need for inclusive engagement in negotiating the global compact, and emphasized the importance of implementing the Paris Agreement. He also said that regional integration and cooperation were key for stability in the Western Balkans.
