On Tuesday, 30 April 2024, the President of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Dennis Francis, met with Hon¡¯ble Mr. Upendra Yadav, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population of Nepal.
The President of the General Assembly and the Deputy Prime Minister discussed the importance of international cooperation and solidarity towards the achievement of sustainable development and addressing climate change, which are particularly challenging for countries in special situations.
The Deputy Prime Minister expressed appreciation for the President¡¯s initiatives, such as the convening of the Sustainability Week.
President of the General Assembly commended Nepal¡¯s commitment to multilateralism and expressed readiness for continued collaboration during the remainder of the seventy-eighth session.
