Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Office of Counter-Terrorism (Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵOCT) Global Fusion Cells Programme and the United Nations Police () delivered a three-week in-person Train the Trainer course from 24 October to 11 November 2022 at the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵOCT Programme Office and Training Centre in Rabat, Kingdom of Morocco.?

Twenty-five participants from Ghana, Botswana, Uganda, Mozambique, Togo, Nigeria, Niger, and from the regional Southern African Development Community (SADC) took part in this three-week intensive Train the Trainer course, delivered by certified instructors from Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵPOL and from The Gambia and Uganda.
The Train the Trainer course consisted of three modules that each lasted one week:?
- Module 1 "Capacity-Building and Development" to introduce Capacity building and development approaches;
- Module 2 "Mentoring, monitoring and advising" to improve trainers' abilities to communicate cross-culturally and motivate students;?
- Module 3 "Instructor Development" to improve participants' abilities to train staff in their home country.?
This course enhances member states' training capacity by improving their existing trainer resources. Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ-certified Police Instructors from Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵPOL ensure that all participants meet the required standards in delivering complex and specialist training and in managing a kidnap investigation at their respective national training facilities.??Furthermore, Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Certified Trainers provide ongoing assessment and mentoring to the participants, supporting their learning process and enhancing the overall training experience.??
