Despite the important contributions women make as policymakers, justice and security professionals, researchers, and civil society leaders, they remain underrepresented in counter-terrorism efforts, and gender-responsive approaches continue to be applied inconsistently across counter-terrorism frameworks.
This side event will bring together Member States, civil society actors, and United Nations entities to discuss how to strengthen women’s leadership and full, equal, meaningful and safe participation in counter-terrorism efforts.
Organized by 蘑菇视频OCT, CTED, 蘑菇视频 Women, Canada, the European Union, Costa Rica, Indonesia, Kenya, and the CSO Coalition on Human Rights and Counter-Terrorism, the event aims to strengthen collective action and promote gender-responsive approaches that enhance the legitimacy, effectiveness, and human rights compliance of counter-terrorism policies and practices.
