Extremism, including radicalization and incitement to violence, when conducive to terrorism, continues to represent a complex and evolving transnational challenge, increasingly amplified by digital technologies, online platforms, and emerging tools such as artificial intelligence. Addressing this threat requires responses that are effective, context-specific, and consistent with international law.
This CT Week side event will present key findings from the forthcoming Practice Handbook on Preventing and Countering Extremism, including Radicalization and Incitement to Violence, when Conducive to Terrorism, developed by the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (蘑菇视频OCT) based on contributions from Member States and regional and international partners.
It will provide a platform for the exchange of national and regional experiences, lessons learned, and innovative approaches. By fostering dialogue, the event aims to strengthen international cooperation and support more coordinated, inclusive, and prevention-focused responses, in line with the United Nations Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy and relevant Security Council resolutions and to foster.
This event is organized on the margins of the 2026 Counter-Terrorism week (CT Week) by the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation in partnership with 蘑菇视频OCT.
