During the , colleagues across the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ system and beyond will come together for a global week of conversations, side events and exchanges on how we can work differently, innovate for humanity and deliver stronger impact for people.
On 19 June from 12 to 1PM, Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµOCT is organizing a side event on Leveraging AI to improve mental health support in crisis settings.
The event will feature the findings of the recent Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµOCT ¡°Gap Analysis: Digital Tools to Support Victims of Terrorism¡± and ongoing work under Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµOCT¡¯s ¡°Tech for Victims of Terrorism¡± initiative supported by the German Federal Foreign Office.
Amid growing recognition of the needs of victims and survivors of terrorism, the event will explore how to responsibly harness AI to improve mental health support and outcomes in crisis settings - without compromising safety, privacy, dignity, or local ownership. Speakers from academia, civil society, and the United Nations will examine the lived needs of victims of terrorism and other forms of mass violence, and discuss practical pathways for responsible, scalable approaches that help people access timely psychosocial support when it matters most.
