World Children¡¯s Day is celebrated each year on 20 November, the date in 1959 when the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ General Assembly adopted the Declaration of the Rights of the Child. The aim of World Children¡¯s Day is to promote international togetherness, awareness among children worldwide, and improving children's welfare. The ongoing COVID-19 crisis has resulted in a child rights crisis. The costs of the pandemic for children are immediate and, if unaddressed, may last a lifetime.
