Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Framework Convention on Climate Change (Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵFCCC), in collaboration with the United Nations Volunteers Programme (Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵV), is now accepting applications from volunteers to assist in the organization and facilitation of the 2017 Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Climate Change Conference, COP 23, which will take place from 6-17 November in Bonn, Germany.?

Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵFCCC, Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵV and the Government of Germany have resolved that volunteerism should play a central role in this year's conference in order that citizens and civil society may be mobilized and inspired to act as key stakeholders in the global effort against climate change. The 2017 COP 23 volunteer recruitment call provides a unique opportunity for volunteers to gain practical insights into the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ system, international climate change negotiations and large scale conference management.
In relation to the volunteer recruitment campaign, Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵFCCC with the support of nine assigned Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Volunteer and Conference Management Specialists is currently coordinating with a wide range of universities, institutions and organizations to identify suitable candidates for the project. The candidates sought are expected to be passionate about climate change, have a working knowledge of English, and a suitable educational/professional background relevant to the organization and subject matter of the conference.?
